Modernization of the Flanker-C Su-30SM multi-fighter fighter will be equipped with a turbojet engine such as the Su-35S, according to the UFA engine manufacturer (ODK-UMPO) in the paper submitted to the Aviastroitel of the Year contest, as reported by the Air Recognition page.
“To unify machines supplied to Russian Air Force Su-35S aircraft produced by Irkut Corporation, Sukhoi Company, and UMK-ODK are involved in Research and Development (R & D) to modernize the fleet of Su-30SM fighter jets with AL-41F-1S engines”, he said.
The AL-41F-1S also called the “117S” is a modular dual shaft turbofan engine with thrust vector control (TVC) and integrated digital control. The engine offers full afterburner thrust of 14,000 kg.
This multirole fighter jet and super Su-30SM manoeuvre are equipped with radar array phased antennas and horizontal fins at the front. For the time being, the Su-30SM is still using the AL-31FP engine which is the development of basic AL-31F machines which are distinguished by the presence of a controlled driver and increased resources.
The Su-35S is a 4 ++ generation multirole fighter jet. Equipped with an AL-41F-1S engine capable of developing supersonic speed without augmentation.
